Top Five Jason Statham Films To View

Jason Statham, with his raspy intonation and narrow gaze, is the master of action films. He has appeared in everything from blockbuster franchises to independent films. His earliest notable successes were Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. These films demonstrated his ability to compete in the realm of rugged men.

1. The Expendables 3

The second Expendables film might not be as good as the original, but Statham still shines in this action ensemble movie. He’s joined by Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Jean-Claude Van Damme in this hyper-violent shoot-em-up that serves as fan service for old-school action fans. In the elite assassin subgenre, Statham is a natural as the hardboiled professional. He shows off his acting range in this Guy Ritchie movie, paired with hothead trainee Ben Foster.

The Meg is a cheesy but fun romp of the most absurd degree. When a deep-sea submersible is attacked by a thought-to-be-extinct megalodon, only one man can save the day: Statham’s Jonas Taylor.

2. The Expendables 4

The macho star takes on the role of an ex-hitman with a taste for the extreme in this wild action movie. He brawls with gangsters, does every drug imaginable and even has public sex in this tense thriller. Though this pelispedia film is a remake of a classic 1970s TV series, it is one of Statham’s best early films, and shows off his ability to carry a movie with his presence alone. He is the lone survivor of an attack on a casino and fights back against a mob of criminals with nothing but his wits and strength.

Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Van Damme return to battle Statham, Randy Couture, and newcomer Megan Fox in this explosive action sequel. Expect explosions, car chases and lots of violence.

3. The Transporter 3

The Transporter trilogy is one of Statham’s most popular movies, and for good reason. The action is fast and frantic, the characters are memorable, and the premise is simple yet exciting. Statham plays Frank Martin, a besuited wheelman with a strict set of rules for his clients. When he picks up a package containing a beautiful, gagged woman, it’s time to break the rules and go full-on action hero.

The film is a heist movie with an impressive cast that includes Paddy Considine and Aidan Gillen. It’s not as hard-hitting as some of Statham’s other work and leans more toward the thriller side than the action, but it still packs a punch. It also has a really good soundtrack.

4. The Expendables 2

As a member of the Expendables franchise, Statham puts his skills to good use and wreaks havoc with an array of Eurotrash bad guys. In just 88 tight minutes, Statham does some driving that would make the Fast and Furious gang blush, kills one of the best henchwomen in film history, and makes several awful/awesome puns, making this one of his most fun movies.

This Melissa McCarthy comedy was a surprising but welcome departure for Statham, and he proves that he has comedic chops as well as the gruff-hero persona that he usually plays. He steals every scene he is in and gives fans even more reasons to love him.

5. The Transporter

After a sunny dalliance with Miami, it’s back to Europe for this taut thriller. Statham slathers his rippling body in motor oil to play the elusive and highly skilled professional transporter Frank Martin. This is a great film to watch if you are looking for a fun action movie with plenty of cool stunts. The film also stars Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba.

Although the movie has not been released yet, it looks like another good Jason Statham movie to watch. The film is directed by Camille Delamarre and stars Statham as a hitman with a conscience. The movie will be released in June 2020. You can check out the trailer below. This is one of the most anticipated movies by Statham. The movie is set in the London criminal underworld. It’s also about a girl who is being hunted by ruthless crime bosses.
