Kendall Jenner has been a staple in fashion for years, and she continues to be one of the most famous figures in the industry. She’s even the face of Dior’s spring 2018 collection! Luckily for us, Kendall keeps her look fresh with each new season. But while her style is always on point, there are times when Kendall might get a little too into it or even go all-out with a look that doesn’t suit her personality at all. Case in point: this asymmetrical gown she wore at the opening of Dior’s flagship store this week. While it looks great from every angle (it’s very Versace), we probably wouldn’t have expected KJ to wear something so boldly different than what we’re used to seeing from her. Still, maybe we’re just being cynical because we want our favorite stars at least somewhat conventional! But regardless of how you feel about this sort of thing whether you love it or hate it let us know what you think by leaving your thoughts below:

Kendall Jenner Stepped out in a New Strapless Gown

The asymmetrical neckline is a new fashion trend that’s seen on the runway and in Kendall Jenner’s dress. This look has been popping up all over Instagram lately and we love it!

It’s not just any old strapless gown, however; it’s a little bit more than that: It’s made from silk chiffon with lace appliqués and has an empire waistline (the part of the dress around your hips). The extra detail makes it stand apart from other looks like this one. Kendall Jenner has been giving out ensembles that are the epitome of understated luxury regularly. When it comes to her immaculate wardrobe, the model regularly illustrates that “less is more,” whether she’s dressed casually in The Row’s hyper-luxe basics or dressed up for date night in a seductive Tom Ford-era Gucci gown. Her most recent outfit is both simple stylish and sensual. The 26-year-old donned a cream asymmetrical one-shoulder Rick Owens dress with the greatest of slits, black leather Bare sandals, and a Half Moon purse by The Row to an event in Malibu to promote her 818 Tequila brand.

Giambattista Valli Flagship in Beverly Hills

On Tuesday, the Giambattista Valli flagship store opened in Beverly Hills. Kendall Jenner was there to attend the opening party alongside her sister Kylie and friend Gigi Hadid.

The look for this event was very minimalistic and elegant and just like any other Kendall Jenner outfit, it was asymmetric!

With her hair slicked back and a pair of strappy silver heels, she looked chic and classic. She wore an elegant black gown with a lace bodice and skirt that flared out at the hemline. The dress was embellished with intricate beadwork around the neckline and cuffs, as well as sequins on the sleeves.

Her makeup was simple but effective she kept her eyes lined with mascara for drama; applied bronzer to bronze up her complexion; finished off with red lipstick for a pop of color against pale skin tones. Kendall’s sisters, on the other hand, chose a bolder take on the nighttime dress for the star-studded event. Kim and Khloe Kardashian donned Balenciaga bodysuits with accessories – a glittery Balenciaga mini bag and go-go pumps for Kim, gilded stilettos and pistachio Hermès mini Kelly for Khloe – while Kylie Jenner wore an off-kilter denim Y/Project ensemble straight off the spring/summer 2023 runway. To create Kendall’s flawless minimalist party style, choose things with timeless design. But, in true new-era supermodel fashion, there’s nothing wrong with a little sensuality thrown in for good measure.

The dress is also very well-made, with sleeves that have been lined with silk and lace up at the shoulders to avoid bunching when you move around in it.

The asymmetrical neckline of this gown is made even more dramatic by its delicate embroidered details. It’s not just a simple chiffon piece, though—the skirt is also oversized and voluminous, adding to its femininity.

She accessorizes her look with a pair of pointy-toed black heels paired with minimal jewelry: simple gold hoops dangling from her ears, a small gold bracelet around her wrist—just enough to make sure she doesn’t look like she forgot anything important on the red carpet!

If you want to try something similar but don’t have access to Kendall’s skills in designing clothes (or if you’re just not into using Adobe Photoshop), here are some tips:

  • Use black as your base color and keep things simple with your silhouette design. You can either draw out your version or take inspiration from one of our other minimalist silhouettes on the site you’ll find plenty!
  • Do not use too many patterns or textures throughout your outfit; otherwise, people will think that you’re trying too hard or don’t know what they’re doing when they see it up close.
